A BIT ABOUT MY JOURNEY

I founded Yosuzi in 2015 after visiting my native Venezuela and being inspired by the millinery craftsmanship of indigenous artisans in La Guajira. What began as a collection of hand-woven hats has evolved into a premium sustainable brand offering accessories and homeware, with production in Ecuador, Colombia, India, and the UK.

Over the next decade, I grew the brand to seven figures in annual revenue, secured stockists including Selfridges, Net-a-Porter, Harrods, and Le Bon Marché, and earned press in Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Harper's Bazaar—all unpaid. Our pieces have been worn by Beyoncé, Gigi Hadid, and Emma Roberts.

Building the brand taught me that commercial success and social responsibility aren't opposing forces. I created The WOMA Project—a sustainable sourcing model providing fair compensation to artisan partners, with a portion of each sale supporting CEPIN, a nonprofit focused on health and education for Guajiro children in Venezuela.

I've been the founder juggling every role—figuring out manufacturer relationships at 3am, refreshing analytics wondering why engagement isn't converting to sales, making mistakes and learning from them.
